Goals for camp: Musically learn the opener in a way where all members are comfortable enough with all details to record it on their own.  Visually, we will demonstrate a solid understanding of the basic technique program and some beginning movement/choreography that will go with the show. What would have been the second week of camp is now reserved for the making of video submissions (one musical-no body. and one visual) that will be submitted to Mr. Davis by 9p.m. on August 28th.  Scripts and instructions will be provided at a later date.

Jazz Bands

Jazz Auditions:

All jazz audition materials are to be recorded and submitted to Mr. Davis by 9p.m. on Wednesday, August 19th, along with the following Google Form: https://forms.gle/p5f7qq9cJ2vNPT8T6. It does NOT need to be a single take of the entire audition materials, but each skill should be demonstrated completely on its own.  For example: All major scales must be performed together in the same take. Having a take of 7 major scales, and then another take with the remaining 5, would result in no points. You can use a play along that is either in your headphones (we obviously wouldn’t hear it on the video), or over speakers.  There will be no sight-reading on this year’s audition.  Drummers, for the time test portion of the audition, please just put on a metronome into your headphones and keep time for 1 minute. With any specific audition questions, please email me directly
