We would also like to express our appreciation to the almost 150 adult and student volunteers who poured themselves into the Aztec Jazz Festival on Saturday.  We especially want to thank our AJF Team who helped coordinate the day: Matt Charney, Laila Shanedling, Brandie Lujan, Laurie Hinton, Krista Dorado, Dana Ericson and Joe Tetzlaff. We hosted 1,168 Directors, students, and chaperones as well as 917 family members and friends who came to support them. WOW!  Over 2,000 people on our campus!  We heard so much positive feedback from the directors and guests about how everything was running smoothly.  We are so very proud of our student volunteers for representing the EEU in such a professional manner.  And we could not have done it without the MANY hands of our volunteers that took part in the day.  Whether it was a quiet, calmer activity like hosting the Director’s Lounge to a relaxed, easier job like working at the Check In table/wristband booth to the crazy, controlled chaos in the concessions and cooking stations…everything went SO very well!  Also, a thank you to the many donations and borrowed items for the day!

We look forward to hosting the PYLUSD Band Pageant Concessions in the fall and to hosting the next AJF on Saturday, March 8, 2024.  Mark your calendars for another great event!

Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts.

Very Sincerely!
Kristina Gereau – President, EEU Booster Board | Minnie McCormick – AJF Coordinator

Dear EEU Parents and Students,

I’m always so filled with profound gratitude once we wrap up the last parts of the jazz festival because of the realization that, when something like this felt “easy”, it was really the product of a lot of people working hard at pulling in the same direction.  You all were amazing today!  I have gotten nothing but absolutely amazing and flattering feedback from everyone who was here at the festival today.  I understand that it is a tremendous amount of work, but you all make it so much fun to be a part of.  I just wanted to say thank you while the experience was fresh in my mind, and I hope you all get to enjoy some VERY well-earned relaxation time.

Thanks,
Mr. Davis
