This is the first time that the EEU students and families have been asked to help work this event. It is likely to be a BIG fundraiser for just one day of volunteering. We have just a few spots to fill for 4 students and 1 adult. (Students receive service hours)

Aztec Jazz Festival

This is an ALL Hands on Deck Day!  This is not only for our jazz families, but for ALL EEU families and students. It is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year for the entire EEU Program. We host this jazz festival at EHS – last year we had over 1500 in attendance. More information coming after the new year.

Money Matters
Matching Donations – Does your work offer matching donations?  At this time of year, many businesses are looking to make end-of-year donations to nonprofits. If you know of any business that would want to donate or if your employer does Matching Donations, please contact Dana treasurer@ehseu.org to find out how to get this set-up.

Schedule of Skills Workshop Information
Students, please see the emails and information that Mr. Davis has sent to you regarding special workshops and opportunities that will substitute some of the schedule of skills requirements. Save these dates for some of the opportunities. Show up early and be ready to play at the times below.

Opportunity #2 – Basic Harmony
Dates: Nov. 29, Dec. 6, 13, 20
Times: 8:00-8:15 Students on Year 1 and 2, 8:15-8:30 Years 3 and 4

This will be a workshop focused on expanding our knowledge and use of scale patterns/tonality. The focus will be on 3 keys per week, with the intention of introducing and working through 1 new exercise (not schedule of skills patterns) and 1 etude per key per week. This will SUBSTITUTE for ALL boxes in the left 2 columns of your schedule of skills, and students must attend all 4 sessions to receive credit. There will be no exceptions or partial credit for this option.

This is an all or nothing opportunity. You have to attend all 4 to receive credit for the substitution on your schedule of skills.

Contact Mr. Davis or Mr. Myers if you have any questions.
