Percussion Championship Finals on Saturday, April 16th will require pandemic-related protocols.
Recently, SCPA released updates regarding pandemic-related modifications for Championships as “necessary to ensure these events are able to take place this year”.
SCPA Finals at Toyota Arena requires proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test for anyone entering the building including performers, instructors, parents and spectators. See more info at Toyota Arena’s Welcome Back guide.
Requirement Announcement:
Effective February 16, 2022, per the State of California Department of Public Health and San Bernardino County a Mega Event with large crowds greater than 1000 attendees the following is required:
- All ticketed guests 2 years of age and up will be required to provide proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID–19 test (within one day of the event for a rapid antigen test or within two days for a PCR test). No home tests will be accepted.
- Patrons 18 years of age and older are required to provide a matching valid I.D.
- Vaccinated guests entering Toyota Arena are no longer required to wear a mask. Unvaccinated guests will need to continue wearing a mask except while actively eating or drinking.
2022 Finals Retreat:
SCPA plans to proceed with traditional full retreat for SCPA Finals. Since a Championship Retreat usually features over 1,500 performers to fill the entire arena floor, this year there is a mask requirement for all performers and ensembles will be excused one by one. Additionally, distribution of medals and celebration will be outside, rather than on the arena floor.
