Big Band Blowout is our Jazz concert featuring Esperanza High School and Bernardo Yorba Middle School Jazz Bands playing alongside a professional musician as guest artist. The concert supports EEU’s education focus on the benefit of performance opportunities. As our professional artist mentor provides master class preparation with the students in advance of the concert with enriching improvisation and big band music techniques. Esperanza Jazz is welcoming our BBB guest artist, Alto saxophonist and composer Sherman Irby. Special thank you to Victor Goines for the introduction to fellow Jazz at Lincoln Center musician.
Sherman Irby, was born and raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Clark Atlanta University, then joined the quintet of Johnny O’Neal, a former member of Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers. Irby has recorded two albums for Blue Note Records, and worked with Marcus Roberts, Roy Hargrove, Papo Vazquez, Paco de Lucia, Elvin Jones, and McCoy Tyner. He is currently a member of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, led by Wynton Marsalis. Among his numerous recordings, Irby’s latest releases are Sherman Irby’s Inferno and Cerulean Canvas.

The Ads Artwork & Shout-Outs Deadline has been extended to FRIDAY May 12th for both Business and Personal Message Ads in the 2023 Big Band Blowout concert program. The BBB Concert program will be online ONLY in full digital color with limited print edition in color as requested.
Personal Message Donation
Order Shout Outs & Message Ads to Congratulate your Senior. It’s easy, just design your message ad in Google Docs, insert a grad photo and then download as pdf. If your photo is blurry, try a larger size picture.
Shout Outs should be about 75-100 characters. Order at the link below and please include your interest in a print edition in color.

Shout Outs are $10.00 for a 75-100 character message.
1/4 Page Ad (3.75” width x 5” height) @ $35
1/2 Page Ad (7.5” width x 5” height) @ $50

How will the Business Ad Space donation be acknowledged?
Any donation will be acknowledged and displayed with Company Name & Ad Artwork on the BBB Digital Concert Program. Additional acknowledgements can include Company Name & Logo on the event webpage and a Facebook mention. With contribution to the BBB program, the business can receive a quality advertising graphic created by EEU that businesses have continued to use for other publications. *This service alone can be quite expensive giving partners a greater return on their investment.
